This task was all about describing the 2 ways of analysing film - Genre Analysis and Auteur Theory.

Producer & Audience

This task was all about analysing the way that Iron Man 3 was marketing in relation to its producer and the audience.

Production Company Logo

As part of our Illustrator portfolio, we had to create a logo for our 'production company'. 

I wasn't very pleased with the final outcome so I decided to create a new logo, this time using Photoshop. Photoshop is better to use because there are many more effects to use in the programme compared to Illustrator.

Fashion Logo

Although not strictly related to the Photography unit, the class were tasked with creating a logo for a made up fashion company. This task helped me in improving my Illustrator skills.

Career Action Plan

CAREER ACTION PLAN

I have nearly finished the course now so my main task is completing any out-standing work in order to secure a place at a university that I have chosen rather than having to settle for another one because I haven’t finished every single unit.

I am confident that I can do this even if not everyone else is. Nevertheless I have been getting a lot of work done in the last few weeks so if I can carry on doing so then I will achieve my target.

If successful, I plan to enrol onto a Sports Journalism or Media (Film/TV) course at either Edge Hill, UCLan, Chester or Newcastle University. I really hope to make it into one of these 4 places. They have all given me conditional offers, so if I make their grade expectancies I will hopefully be able to attend one of these universities.

In the long term, my goal is to be either working for a newspaper or on television/radio as a sports journalist or working in the film/TV industries as a script writer. I also have a big interest in film so if I can’t be a journalist in sport then I would love to be a film reviewer of some sort.

Contents Page Analysis

The purpose of this task was to look at and analyse the contents page of a magazine in order to find out what makes them tick and if I can draw any influences from these examples when creating my own magazine.
